Well hello there! Nice to meet you! My name is Pamela and I live in Washington state with my husband and our dog Chloe. We also have our first baby on the way. My friends gave me the name WikiPamela because I always seem to have an answer and/or talking points ready to go on just about any topic. I credit my curiosity for filling my brain with all kinds of information (some more useful than other).
While my friends call me WikiPamela my husband calls me The Ice Cream Assassin. That’s because I can put down an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s in one sitting and still want more. But, despite this totally excessive sweet tooth of mine, I typically love all things healthy. We shop for local/organic foods at our local co-op, workout (mostly regularly), and try to keep our home free of unnecessary toxins.
Fun fact about me… I couldn’t pick just one topic to study in college because they all seemed so interesting, so I took a highlighter to my college course catalog and highlighted all the classes that looked interesting to me. I then figured out what degree all those classes would earn me, and that’s the degree I went after. I ended up with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences where I majored in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior and minored in Human Rights. Fun right?! OK… maybe not for everyone, but it gave me a broad base of knowledge to use in all areas of my life.
On top of all that, I’ve had a love of the internet and all things tech since I was very young. I give credit to my father for that and can’t thank him enough for giving me a Commodore 64 when I was young. From there it was Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) and teaching myself to hand code my first HTML website back before WordPress (thank goodness for WordPress!).
So, there you have it… a few of my interests in a nut shell. There are plenty more, so stick around for the full spectrum of topics that will be showcased here on WikiPamela.com. In fact, click here to subscribe so you don’t miss a thing!
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me a little better.
